A very rare stater of Lysimachos

KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Stater (Gold, 20 mm, 8.29 g, 12 h), Byzantion, circa 175-150. Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right, with horn of Ammon over his ear. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena seated left, holding Nike, crowning the king's name, in her right hand and leaning with her left arm on shield decorated with gorgoneion; behind, transverse spear; in inner left field, monogram; on throne, BY; in exergue, ornamented trident to left. Marinescu Group VI, Issue 128. Müller -, cf. 193 (tetradrachm). Very rare and sharply struck. Traces of mounting. The obverse struck slightly off center and with minor scrapes on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
